Artist Reception: River in Time

Featuring local artist, Rodney "Beecher" Roberts. River in Time is the visual impression of the esoteric. We give locations or time identity markers; dates, hours, locations, elevations, latitudes and longitudes, but they are never the same place or moment again. The same is true of the paintings in this series, or all paintings for that matter. The paint may dry and the appearance be fixed, but the energy signature from the moment it is created lies beneath the surface, forever moving, never again the same. Each painting is composed of multiple layers of paint and materials of varying composition – oil enamel, ink, acrylic and metal. Each resonates with their own frequency and signature. The show will be ongoing through April 23. Also available for viewing will be paintings, photographs, stained glass, papier maché, polymer clay pots, ceramic figures, jewelry, fiber arts and small gift items by local artists. A free children’s activity and light refreshments will be offered during the art walk.
